Description:
- During the manufacturing, handling, and storage processes, overheating of materials frequently occurs, even a risk of fire and explosion. When a fire actually occurs, the danger and potential damage are immense, especially in fields related to electricity, batteries, materials, and waste.
- Thermal imaging cameras can detect overheated surfaces on objects like batteries, silo walls or piping… The system detect a fire hazards before a fire breaks out, allowing for timely intervention. This helps to avoid damage, loss of materials, and downtime for the factory.
- The system tracks the temperature of the measured object constantly and completely automatically. Multiple monitored areas with various temperature thresholds can be defined on one object. If a defined threshold is crossed, an alarm is triggered in the overarching system, which makes it possible to react quickly to mitigate fire hazards.
Applications in fields:
- Manufacturing of battery cells, modules and packs.
- Handling, storage and assembly of batteries
- Battery recycling
- Electrical infrastructure
- Bulk material storage
- Storage and handling of waste, recyclables and hazardous material
